On the 18-19th of October Kiev hosted one of the largest events in CIS - IDCEE 2012. The main goal of the conference was to bring together ideas of leading experts and start-up entrepreneurs with expertise of investors and business-angels, gathering IT crowd from all over the world to unite internet innovations idea-holders and investors.

Bas Godska as the founder of Acrobator.com was invited to participate in the event for the third time as the moderator of Accelerators panel (with Bohdan Kupych, Eveline Buchatskiy, Maurizio Rossi, Uwe Hortsmann) and Online Hospitality Panel (with Katrin Buckenmaier, Marina Kolesnik, Mikhail Reider, Roman Rochel). oborotOn the 11-12 October Bas Godska attended one of the largest e-commerce events in Russia and CIS states. E-commerce Russia & CIS - 2012 Conference produced by Oborot.ru - Russia`s most popular website for e-retailers brought together over 800 top-managers of leading e-commerce companies. Bas was invited to participate in the panel discussion about the current trends in internet marketing together with Jean-No?l Rivasseau (Kameleoon), Katrin Buckenmaier (Travelmenu), Leonid Dovladbegyan (220 Volt), Alexey Buhanov (Ozon.ru) and Vitaliy Panarin (Otto Group Russia).

There were about 200 advertisers and agencies among the attendants, as well as all leading Russian affiliate networks and publishers. All in all -- a great event!

On the 24th of July East West Digital News published its international research study on Russian e-commerce. The 316-page research is based on interviews with 80 Russian and international market players, from eBay and DHL to local retailers Ozon.ru and KupiVip.ru.For the first time, international audiences are provided with reliable and precise data on the Russian market, which amounted to just $10.5 billion last year, but could reach some $50 billion before the end of the decade. The event brought together the best and the boldest English-speaking startups from Russia, so they could meet with the famous Geeks and get feedback from Dave McClure (500 Startups) himself. Bas Godska moderated a digital media panel on one of the conferences Landing Page with the participation of many rapidly growing Russian e-commerce companies.

One of the most memorable conferences of the year called "The Internet. Izmeni Soznanie." ("Change your consciousness.”) took place on Sicily during the first weekend of June. Leading experts of the Internet sector came together at the hot Italian island to share their ideas on the current situation in the digital advertising industry and its development prospects. The marketing guru Bas Godska was among the speakers. He presented his business formula C.A.S.H.C.O.W. B.O.M.B.E.R. on behalf of Gogolmedia.com and Acrobator.com and shared his experience of working at KupiVIP.ru.
