On the 24th of July East West Digital News published its international research study on Russian e-commerce. The 316-page research is based on interviews with 80 Russian and international market players, from eBay and DHL to local retailers Ozon.ru and KupiVip.ru.For the first time, international audiences are provided with reliable and precise data on the Russian market, which amounted to just $10.5 billion last year, but could reach some $50 billion before the end of the decade. The event brought together the best and the boldest English-speaking startups from Russia, so they could meet with the famous Geeks and get feedback from Dave McClure (500 Startups) himself. Bas Godska moderated a digital media panel on one of the conferences Landing Page with the participation of many rapidly growing Russian e-commerce companies.

EWDN_Press_breakfast_3E-commerce, one of Russia's fastest growing, but often misunderstood markets, was the subject of a press event on the 14th of September in Moscow, following the release of EWDN's Russian E-Commerce Report. A bevy of experts and investors shared their views with 27 representatives of international and Russian media. Among them was Bas Godska, who noted in his speach a new trend in Russia: "Behavioral data and automation have become more relevant for many Russian internet shops. Customer segmentation, conversion optimization and real time bidding measures are implemented at a faster pace. And indeed, "the guy with the most data wins" if he uses it right!".
